Good to know

• you can pay with card at most places, but having some cash in forint (HUF) with you is highly recommended
• tap water is safe to drink, and at the university there are several water fountains where you can refill your bottle throughout the day
• most bottled drinks come in returnable packaging that cost 50 forints extra on top of the retail price
• the city is generally very safe, but please, always pay attention to your belongings – you might bump into a pickpocket
