Transportation
From the airport
Public transportation: you can catch bus 100E from the Airport directly to the city center, to Deák Ferenc tér. The price of a one way ticket is 2500 HUF (ca. 6.5 EUR).
Airport Minibus: you may book a seat on a shuttle to and from the airport, in advance.
Taxi: Budapest Airport has a contract with Főtaxi to ensure fair prices. You can grab a taxi on the spot, or you can book one in advance. A one way fare costs about 10,000 HUF (approx. 25 EUR)
Traveling in the city
In the city center almost everything is within a walking distance. Public transportation is also very well developed in Budapest, so you can reach the conference venue and most sightseeing attractions easily.
The conference venue is located near to the famous Great Market Hall, and Váci utca. Feel free to walk around, or you can take several buses and trams to get here.
Warning: Conductors are rather strict in the city: make sure to have your ticket validated, or your pass ready!
Taxi
In Budapest, taxi companies, and other ride sharing solutions (such as Uber) work on a very similar price. That being said, we strongly recommend calling one by phone or using an app. Individual drivers that you might wave down on the street might overcharge you.
Major taxi companies: CityTaxi, Főtaxi
Available ride-sharing solutions: BOLT, Uber
